Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Artist accounts. Your email and password (handled by our authentication provider), plus the profile details you choose to add — display name, bio, genre, photo, links, and theme.
• Catalog & gig data. The songs, events, and messages you create to run your shows.
• Beta waitlist. If you ask to be notified, the email address you submit.
• Fan activity. Fans don't need an account. When a fan enters their name to join a gig we create an anonymous sign-in for them — no email, no password — and store their optional display name alongside the requests, votes and suggestions they make. That sign-in is what makes those requests theirs: without it, anyone could cancel or impersonate another fan's requests. It stays in the fan's browser after the gig ends, and clearing browsing data removes it.
• Tip interaction counts. When a fan opens an artist's tip screen or taps one of their tip links, we record that it happened, for that gig, so artists can see whether tipping is reaching anyone. To count people rather than clicks, each browser is given a random code for that one gig. The code is not connected to your name, your requests, your session, or any other gig, so these counts can tell an artist how many people looked but never which ones.
• Technical data. Our hosting and database providers process standard information such as IP address and device/browser details to operate and secure the Service.

How we use it

We use this information to operate the Service (run gigs, show the live queue, manage catalogs), to contact you about beta access or support, and to keep the Service secure and working. We do not sell your data.

Cookies & local storage

We use one cookie: a sign-in session. For artists it keeps you logged in. For fans it holds the anonymous sign-in described above, so the requests you make are yours and nobody else can cancel or impersonate them. It is a first-party cookie — it only works on this site — and it stays in your browser after a gig ends until you clear your browsing data.

We do not use it to link your activity across different gigs, and we don't use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Some features also keep small values in your browser's own storage — for example, remembering that you have already been shown a tip prompt at a gig, or the per-gig code described above.

Who processes your data

We rely on Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting), which process data on our behalf. Note that some information is public by design: an artist's public page, and the song requests and queue shown at a gig, are visible to others taking part in that gig.

Tips & payments

Tipping happens through artists' own external payment links. We don't collect or store payment card details; those services handle that under their own policies.

We count how many people open a tip screen and how many tap a tip link, per gig, using a random per-gig code that isn't tied to your identity, so artists can tell whether tipping is being seen at all. Because tips are handled entirely by the external service, we never know whether a tip was actually sent or how much it was.

Your choices

You can ask us to access or delete your data, or remove yourself from the beta waitlist, by emailing support@livemusicjukebox.com.

Children

The Service isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
